Bio:  Nada holds two master's degrees, one in Translation (attestation) and another in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). She just started taking courses at GW towards an Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction | Educational Technology. Nada taught English as a Second Language for 15 years both in school and college settings. She gave several workshops related to integrating technology in the classroom, team building, peer mentoring, ESL student motivation, and language learning strategies. In September 2006, Nada became the administrative director of the Master of Science in Finance Program at GW School of Business and received an Appreciation Award in June 2008; she is now their Assessment of Learning Coordinator who deals with AACSB accreditation issues. In 1998, Nada created and designed a website titled ?Nada?s ESL Island? which won several educational awards (The Busy Educator's Award, the Web English Teacher Outstanding Resource award, three Golden Web Awards, and an Academic Excellence award); ?Nada?s ESL Island? has more than 400 visitors per day and is now highly rated by the British "Schoolzone- Educational Intelligence" web guide. Nada Salem also created, within a course titled ?Administration of College Student Development Programs" that she took at GW last fall, she created a website about the skills of a State-of-the-Art Dean of Education: Leadership, Strategic Planning, Academic Administration, Financing, and Policy Interpretation and Development. These skills can also be applied to any other deanship.
